FPL Dugout League Cup qualification update

I think most of us would agree that Gameweek 2 was one big huge fantasy let down! With over 200 teams signed up for the League Cup I was expecting some high scores, but the best score was a mere 68. Congratulations to Stunes who achieved this feet, which was 3 better than Michael who managed 65.

There were no prizes for top scores this week however, with just qualification on the line. 127 spots up for grabs to join Villa Simon in the knockout rounds to be precise.

With his place already secure Villa Simon decided to take the week easy with a score of 37. If he was not the reigning champion I can tell you he would have been sent packing!

That is right, the qualifying score was 45 and that wasn’t even enough for everyone, with only 8 out of the 10 teams who scored 45 progressing. The two teams who didn’t make it were knocked out on “count-back” (lowest Gameweek 1 scores).

So congratulations to all who qualified, but no time to rest on your laurels as the knockouts start in Gameweek 3. To those who failed, commiserations but fear not because the FPL Dugout FA Cup will open for sign-ups before you know it!

The draw for the first knockout round will be held in the late hours of Tuesday evening and will be live on the fixtures and results page.

As a note to all, teams who entered with http://fantasy.premierleague.com/my-team/, or even http://fantasy.premierleague.com/the-scout/, were knocked out due to lack of information.
