Who is the best captain for Gameweek 26?
The Gameweek 26 captain choice is looking rather interesting, so I thought I’d create a good old fashioned vote to see where your crucial armband is heading. I’ve kept the list nice and short.
Man City have a wonderful home match against Blackburn who conceded 7 goals in their last away match against Arsenal. Sergio Aguero and David Silva must be licking their lips and will surely be leading contenders for our captaincy.
Wayne Rooney heads to Carrow Road to face Norwich. Not easy – but Rooney will be raging with confidence after 4 goals in his last 2 games.
Then there’s captaincy default Robin van Persie – ever reliable, ever dependable. Arsenal are in dire straights and face a rampant Tottenham at the Emirates – but you’d always back ‘RVP’ for a decent score in what is usually an open game.
Demba Ba, the nemesis of my team who never fails to ruin my Gameweek. A home match-up against Wolves looks set up nicely for another Ba special, so he’s a consideration for captain too.
Finally, we have Juan Mata. Chelsea, like Arsenal, are in a bad way right now, but it wouldn’t be a bad shout to captain Mata at home against Bolton.
The poll is in the right side bar, and please use this thread for any thoughts you have. Happy voting!
New Poll – Which one of these new signings is most likely to feature in your squads?
The transfer window slammed shut on Wednesday night. We saw a batch of new arrivals to the Premier League and some familiar faces switch clubs.
So which one of these new signings is most likely to rocket themselves into your fantasy squad?
Are Adebayor and Arteta just too tempting at £8m? Surely Crouch will prosper in Stoke’s set up? Did Mata’s debut goal for Chelsea convince you of his worth? You might even be thinking of taking a punt on Bendtner!
This poll will be open until next Wednesday, so if you need some time to think about it, make sure you place your vote by then.
It’s in your right side bar.
Gameweek 3 captain poll
Evening everyone. Gameweek 3 is fast approaching so just a reminder that the captain poll is open in the right side bar.
Luis Suarez is currently edging out Wayne Rooney as your choice for the armband.
If you haven’t yet voted, be sure to cast your vote before the deadline!
Who is the best captain for Gameweek 2? Vote now!
Yes, the second captain poll is here. David Silva edged out Wayne Rooney in our Gameweek 1 poll. Both players scored 9 points so the FPL Dugout visitors had their eyes on the ball right away!
It’s an interesting one this week, with Man United facing off against Spurs, and Arsenal hosting Liverpool.
Everton home to QPR, Chelsea home to West Brom, and Man City’s visit to Bolton are likely to draw the most attention.
We’ll see. Get voting! The poll is in the side bar.
Gervinho was deemed to have the worst haircut in our last poll!
New poll – Gervinho vs Barton – the battle of the haircuts
Forget who is the worst play-actor, it’s about whose got the dodgiest haircut. Is it Joey Barton with his “Taxi Driver” style Mohawk or Gervinho with his receding dreadlocks?
If you need some help making your decision, photos of both players can be found here after the altercation.

New poll – Who is the best captain for Gameweek 1?
Saturday’s deadline is getting ever closer. We can almost smell the excitement.
It’s now time to vote for who you think is the best captain for this opening gameweek. All the top contenders should be there half way down your right side bar so cast your vote now!
Apologies if your candidate is missing from the list, but we need to keep it to a managable number of players!
Thanks for voting in our last vote on which player will make the biggest impact. Ashley Young won with 43 votes, though Gervinho was a close second with 39 votes, while Downing wasn’t too far behind in third, with 33.
New poll – which of these new signings so far will have the biggest impact?
One poll closes and another opens. We want to know who you think will make the biggest impact from a selection of new signings so far.
Will it be Arsenal’s new boy Gervinho? Will Ashley Young get enough game time at Man United to stake his claim? Or maybe you fancy Demba Ba as this season’s Peter Odemwingie?

Poll closed – Van Persie is your man
I asked you a couple of weeks ago which big striker would be first on your teamsheet.
Thank you so much for voting. We had 239 votes. Here’s the results.
Robin van Persie (70 votes)
Luis Suarez (49 votes)
Fernando Torres (30 votes)
Javier Hernandez (28 votes)
Wayne Rooney (26 votes)
Darren Bent (18 votes)
Andy Carroll (11 votes)
Carlos Tevez (4 votes)
Didier Drogba (3 votes)
So Robin van Persie wins and fantasy managers don’t seem too concerned about his tricky opening fixtures (new LIV mun).
He’s currently the 5th most selected forward in FPL, behind Suarez, Rooney and Hernandez, so our poll differs slightly here.
Tevez and Drogba at the bottom is no surprise with the uncertainty surrounding them, but it’s interesting to see Rooney and Hernandez share a fairly even proportion of the vote, while people clearly favour Suarez over Carroll at Liverpool – and a lot of these votes were before we knew Suarez was cheaper!
This is reflected in FPL. Currently 40% of managers have Suarez, whereas only 7% have Carroll.
New vote on the way very soon!
