Manager of the Month
Soggy Busquets anyone? Paul Hughes cruises to December Manager of the Month
December was a huge month in our FPL seasons, covering 6 Gameweeks (14 to 19).
Perhaps you could consider this the ultimate month to win, as steering your team through the festive havoc of relentless games and rest and rotation is no easy feat.
Tony Corps buckets November Manager of the Month
It’s late coming, I know, but congratulations to Tony for being our November Manager of the Month.
November covered Gameweeks 11, 12 and 13, and Tony’s Magic Bucket F.C side plundered the points with some mammoth scores.
Tony scored 88 in Gameweek 11 and 89 in Gameweek 12.
Chris Williams awarded October Manager of the Month
Chris top scored in the FPL Dugout League this October with his Sons of Pitches team scoring 253 points. Congratulations Chris!
October covered Gameweeks 7, 8, 9 and 10, but it was Gameweek 9 that stands out like a bear with a sore thumb.
Tom Dallow’s consistency wins September Manager of the Month
Tom is our top scoring manager for September. Gameweeks 4, 5 and 6 brought home 215 points.
Tom, better known as Mr Potato Head, is a calm chap, who snarls at bandwagons, and spits at tinkerers. Patience is key. Good things come to those who wait.
Mr Dallow has only made one transfer since Gameweek 2 (Tim Krul for Hilario), and proves consistent selection can reap rewards.
Tom’s September got off to an epic start after a mammoth 93 points in Gameweek 4. Hat-tricks for Rooney (captain) and Aguero set a perfect platform for the month ahead.
Gameweeks 5 and 6 returned 58 and 64 points, putting Tom’s side within the top 250,000 managers in those weeks.
The likes of Silva, Nani, Suarez, Aguero and Rooney have constantly produced for Tom’s side, while Scott Sinclair has recently come good with a few penalties.
Good stuff then Mr Potato Head! You are our second Manager of the Month.
Liam Johnson scoops August Manager of the Month after Gameweek 3 blitz
Liam Johnson is our first Manager of the Month for the 2011/12 season. Congratulations Liam!
Liam’s loyalty to his beloved Man United is a key factor in his electric start, with scores of 60, 59 and 107.
Liam went into every Gameweek with 3 Man United players, including Young and Rooney, so it’s no surprise to see his Schmeichel FC team lead the way.
Stick to what you know best. That’s Liam’s motto when it comes to captain choice.
He captained Rooney every Gameweek, returning an incredible 76 points in 3 Gameweeks!
Liam’s team also looks a big threat this coming Gameweek, with Baines, Silva, Aguero, Rooney and Young looking good for points.
Please join me in giving Liam a collective pat on the back. Trumping nearly 300 FPL Dugout League fantasy managers is pretty impressive!
